Our History
Established in 1981, Easternrise (M) Sdn Bhd, founded by directors Chai Hock Voon, Michael Chin, and Chin Jan Haw, initially focused on retailing pesticides, fertilizers, and providing essential supplies to oil palm plantations. Upholding core values of integrity, a people-centric approach, and unwavering commitment to service excellence, the company gained recognition from satisfied customers and plantation. Easternrise smoothly transitioned into the pesticide wholesale sector, a focal point within our core business operations. In 1988, a significant milestone was achieved with the founding directors identifying a market gap in the agricultural sector – the need for a company exclusively manufacturing Raffia string designed for agricultural purposes. During that era, farmers primarily relied on standard plastic ropes and iron wires. However, these options had drawbacks such as limited durability for plastic ropes and the impracticality of handling iron wires. This led to collaboration with Chye Joon Yat, a production supervisor at a mosquito net factory, to create a high-performance and durable Raffia string tailored for agricultural needs. Easternrise Industries Sdn Bhd rebranded as ARI Industries Sdn Bhd in the same year, embarking on an active journey in production, marketing, and introducing products to distributors. As the pioneer manufacturer in Malaysia and globally to successfully transition agricultural Raffia string production, we take immense pride in this notable accomplishment. Two years since our inception, we ventured into the production of agricultural plastic mulch. Our sustained prominence in the agricultural plastic mulch sector underscores our lasting leadership in the agricultural industry.

Today, Easternrise has evolved into a comprehensive agricultural enterprise, with its central segments encompassing ‘Easternrise Agri Plastics’, agricultural Raffia string, plastic mulch, and a diverse range of other plastic products tailored for the global agricultural landscape.

‘Easternrise Seeds’-As authorized dealer for Syngenta Seeds and our in-house brand, we deliver a diverse range of high-quality seeds to meet unique customer demands.

‘Easternrise Plant Nutrition’-Rooted in agricultural innovation, we offer a comprehensive range of fertilizers, foliar fertilizer, and water-soluble fertilizers under our own brand, including internationally sourced products such as Alba Miralgro biostimulants from Italy and Unigro foliar fertilizer.

‘Easternrise Crop Protection’-Specializing in an exclusive line of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and biopesticides ,we act as wholesalers for globally recognized brands such as BASF, Bayer, Syngenta, and serve as agents for reputable local brands including ACM, Ancom, farmcochem, CMC, Kenso, and others, reinforcing our commitment to providing holistic crop protection solutions.

Easternrise’s business footprint extends across nations, including Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, and India, supported by a proficient business development team committed to tailored solutions for businesses and farmers. Across key departments, our team functions seamlessly, leveraging advanced technology for substantial improvement in work efficiency.
